About The Website
Hi, I’m Emily, and RainysWorld is my website- my place to rant, write, share my ridiculous opinions, and just generally pretend that I’m right about everything. It’s also my web design portfolio (of a sort) and a place to show off my creative side via the graphic arts.
RainysWorld started off in late 2007 as a means to write and share my life story (can you imagine how much of an egotist I must have been, to think that the life story of a 14-year-old girl would actually interest someone?), but, clearly, since there is no evidence of a life story anywhere on here, that didn’t work out. Next, I tried to model my website after the huge graphic and resource websites, like Saruna and Aethereality- that didn’t really work, either (again, ego- I thought I would end up being a much better graphic designer than I actually am- that, and I kind of fail at self-promotion).
The website that you see before you is what I hope is the final version (despite what names I might run through later on)- a personal website that represents me through my writing and design. I clearly make a few things for the visitor, but, right now, that isn’t quite my priority. My goal with RainysWorld is simple: self-expression. I hope you enjoy it.
